The mission of the Kalamazoo River Sturgeon for Tomorrow, New Richmond Chapter is to support the reestablishment and maintenance of a healthy, self-sustaining Lake Sturgeon population in the Kalamazoo River system by assisting fisheries managers, promoting public education, furthering scientific research and engaging in other activities consistent with Sturgeon rehabilitation. Wisaal- an Arabic word meaning links, connections, or unities- reflects an attempt to fuse elements of Arabic musical heritage with Klezmer, Indian, and American influences while respecting the spirit of these traditions. Tim was born and raised in SW Michigan. As a young boy he was greatly influenced by two of his uncles who played flamenco guitar. He would listen for hours as they played the old Spanish ballads from Puerto Rico. His uncle gave him a guitar at 13 years old and Tim was hooked. He is known for his 70's & 80's style and features the music of artists like: Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor, America, Poco, Eagles, Jimmy Buffet, Cat Stevens, CSNY, Van Morrison, Jim Croce, John Denver and Paul Simon.
