The mission of the Kalamazoo River Sturgeon for Tomorrow, New Richmond Chapter is to support the reestablishment and maintenance of a healthy, self-sustaining Lake Sturgeon population in the Kalamazoo River system by assisting fisheries managers, promoting public education, furthering scientific research and engaging in other activities consistent with Sturgeon rehabilitation. Our free community meal program is entering into its 14th year after serving 6,635 meals in 2010. The kitchen crew is made up of 2-4 volunteers from five churches (St. Basil Catholic, Hope Reformed, Casco United Methodist Church, Solomon’s Temple, Peace Lutheran) or from the American Association of University Women (AAUW) or the Rotary. Food for the meals is supplied by various groups in South Haven and Food for America. Weekly on Tuesdays. Seating begins at 5:30 pm, meal starts at 6 pm, take-out at 6:30 pm.

Wisaal- an Arabic word meaning links, connections, or unities- reflects an attempt to fuse elements of Arabic musical heritage with Klezmer, Indian, and American influences while respecting the spirit of these traditions. Classical Arabic pieces become frameworks within which traditional Arabic forms and rhythmic patterns blend with Western harmonic backgrounds and rhythmically charged pop and world-music grooves. Tim was born and raised in SW Michigan. As a young boy he was greatly influenced by two of his uncles who played flamenco guitar. He would listen for hours as they played the old Spanish ballads from Puerto Rico. His uncle gave him a guitar at 13 years old and Tim was hooked. He is known for his 70's & 80's style and features the music of artists like: Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor, America, Poco, Eagles, Jimmy Buffet, Cat Stevens, CSNY, Van Morrison, Jim Croce, John Denver and Paul Simon.

Julian Lauzzana pulls files from our collective archive and does live mixing/layering of visuals on a projected screen with a blending of electronic and live acoustic sound.
