7:30 pm PETAL SHOP
Folk music with a flavor of the '30s-40s is injected with fresh, modern storytelling. Fiddle, banjo and guitar cling to each other as three vocals intersect and blend into a single, stratified voice. Dancing is common, both on and off stage as Petal Shop's members beg for “just one 'amen!'” Doors open at 7 pm. General admission seating - arrive early to reserve your spot. $5-$7. 8:00 pm TALES from the TECHNOSPHERE
As we archive the technological/historical progress of humanity onto the internet we have created a "technosphere" which is wrapping our planet with a massive amount of cyber-material, information and thoughts. Julian Lauzzana pulls files from our collective archive and does live mixing/layering of visuals on a projected screen with a blending of electronic and live acoustic sound. This is a creative love/hate play with the tools and data of the "technosphere" which surround humanity. Doors open at 7:30 pm. $5 suggested donation. No one turned away for lack of funds. (more)
