Wild Asparagus Dance Weekend: A full weekend of contra dance (and waltz) October 2123 2016. George Marshall calling, with additional talent: Changeling & Frank Buschelmann. An evening of rousing choruses, drinking songs, sea shanties, and English folk songs This is a participation event, not a concert! Song leaders are welcome and encouraged. Any song that has a great, singable, reasonably easy-to-learn chorus is fair game. Don't want to lead? No problem, come and sing along. Please no books or instruments (cheat sheets OK!). Melt Into Spring Ball Practice: workshop led by Orly Krasner (NYC) with music by Debbie Jackson and Earl Gaddis. Included with your paid admission to the evening Ball. Highly recommended because the Ball will have minimal teaching, and you'll pick up tips for looking good and coping with any tricky bits. It's fun by itself too! 6th annual Melt Into Spring Ball, led by Orly Krasner (from New York City) with wonderful music by Debbie Jackson, Earl Gaddis, Steve Schneider, and Matt McCoy. Most dances will be quickly taught; a few might only have reminders. This is part of a weekend event with an advanced English dance Fri. night, Ball practice workshop Sat. afternoon, catered dinner Sat. night (sign up by March 8), and potluck brunch Sun. morning.
