1:00 pm The Art of Woodcarving Techniques-Session I
Terry Kipling will demonstrate wood carving with an emphasis on the many methods of wood removal. An assortment of tools including high speed grinders, foredoms, rasps, draw knives, chisels and bow sanders will be used to shape and remove wood in the process of creating a beautiful art piece. Basswood, cedar, walnut, tupelo and butternut wood will be used. Attendees will work with the above mentioned wood and tools to understand the differences and characteristics of each.  Community for Life Program Show Me the Money Day
Grand Haven has many resources that can help residents better their financial situation. Neighborhood Housing Services is planning the second annual Show Me the Money Day to help bring these resources together in one location for the residents of Ottawa County. Show Me the Money Day will offer free financial classes, table-top vendor presentations, information and appointment scheduling for free tax assistance services and prize drawings.
