Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) sports official Ron Kraley presents a brief introduction to officiating baseball and softball in West Michigan. He will cover many topics related to umpiring, including why being an umpire is important, what types of umpiring are available, how umpires are trained and what makes an effective umpire, as well as answering any audience questions. Ron has been a baseball and softball umpire for over thirty years and has also officiated wrestling and volleyball. (more)

 Mackinac Island's Historic Cottages of the Rich and Famous
In the late 1800s, many wealthy families built luxurious cottages on Mackinac Island. Some of these cottages, with up to 20 rooms, were built by wealthy Midwesterners who came in July with servants and horses. Who were they, where did they come from, and what are their stories? 7:00 pm Renowned Irish Musician Dave Curley in Concert
Dave Curley of Galway, Ireland is a multi instrumentalist, vocalist and dancer. His music consists of reimagined traditional Irish and Folk songs coupled with newer compositions. He is a creative member of the award winning groups SLIDE and the Brock McGuire Band and has collaborated with many fantastic artists including Grammy award artist Moya Brennan of Clannad and John Doyle of Solas. He has been a constant presence at the Michigan Irish Music Festival over the years. (more)
