2:00 pm LDL’s Sunday Concert Series GVSU New Music Ensemble
The New Music Ensemble at Grand Valley State University is an undergraduate ensemble that promotes the music of our time and features flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano and percussion. “Music in Their Words” is music composed by eight well-known composers created for this ensemble. Each work is 5-7 minutes in duration with an electronic backing track that incorporates the 20th century composer’s speaking voice in some way. (more)

 Discovering the Diversity of Life within Ottawa County Parks
Ottawa County parks are home to many beautiful and rare plants and animals. As part of our core values, Ottawa County Parks' (OCP manages our properties' natural features. This year, through the support of a grant from Michigan DEQ, the birds, plants, reptiles and amphibians were inventoried at six OCP's coastal parks. Joyful Noise Christian Childcare’s C-Fund, which benefits young children and families in Ottawa County, is preparing for thousands of new books to be given away at the upcoming and free “For the Love of Literacy Pizza Plus Books” event. The book fair, which will offer books to underserved children from infancy up through eight years of age, will also provide families with a free pizza dinner from Domino’s as well as access to other early childhood resources and professionals.
