7:00 pm Melissa Greener at Pump House Concerts
Nashville based folk-crooner Melissa Greener tells the truth. Her songs captivate with quirkily crafted lyrics, dynamic melodies and loads of groove. Transistor Corazon, her third studio release, explores complexities of the heart - the circuitry versus the soul. Greeners sound combines modernist lyricism and a soulful 1960s Laurel Canyon under the guise of a vibey tremelo electric guitar. Melissas voice is beyond my review. I might as well judge the ocean or a woodthrush Jonathan Byrd $15 suggested donation, all money to the artists, kids free (more)

7:00 pm Decembersongs at Pump House Concerts
Decembersongs 14 is a Holiday Concert with Amy Speace, Rod Picott and Doug & Telisha Williams. Imagine if The Grand Ole Opry moved to East Nashville, a little bit low rent, a whole lotta great songs, some sentimental favorites and a lot of belly laughs. Or imagine The Bob Hope Christmas Special but hosted by some alt-Americana/Roots/Folk songwriters who write holiday songs of cheer and a bit of darkness, like I Won't Be Home For Christmas right next to Have Yourself a Merry Little.... $20 suggested donation, all money to the artists, kids free (more)
