Volunteers will assemble with the Anglers of the Au Sable and Cedars of the Au Sable volunteers at the Gates Au Sable Lodge on Stephan Bridge Road, east of Grayling, to organize our teams before proceeding the river. Bring waders (or shorts and sandals), work gloves, insect repellent, sun screen, canteens, etc. and plan to spend a few hours along the river cleaning up. An enjoyable afternoon picnic at the Gates Au Sable Lodge will follow. Open to both Sierra Club members and non-members.

If you like spooky fun or just plain fun, you'll have a blast at the HNC Halloween Adventures. Children squeal with delight in the Halloween Fun House and inside the nature building discover crafts, pumpkin decorating, "treats" and exhibits featuring misunderstood animals. Outside, find a large games area, follow the path through the Friendly Forest playing games along the way and meet a very large spider and bat, enjoy a hayride through the autumn woods, roast marshmallows over a campfire!

Walk your way to strong bones, toned muscles and a healthy heart! The Harris Nature Center has organized a Walking Club that meets once a month at a different park for a guided walk. All Walking Club guided walks and other guided walks at the Harris Nature Center are included. Drop-in walkers are welcome for $3/person/walk.
