| 12:00 pm | Campout And Hike On The Mason Tract Using backpacks and canoes with canoe carts, we'll walk our gear a half of a mile into a quiet, remote, no motors lake to our rustic campsites under towering white pines. Loon, osprey and bald eagle sightings are common. In addition to canoeing plus hiking (or biking) on the trails around the lake, we will travel to the South Branch of the beautiful Au Sable River to hike on the Mason Tract trails. All campers will bring their own food with a group potluck on Saturday evening. There is no fee for this weekend outing except for the National Forest parking fee. Members and nonmembers are welcome.
